ABOUT AWWL

Head Coach, Ken, is often likened to a compass, for he guides students in their voyage of studying Literature towards their desired destinations. He believes that all of his students will eventually become skilled navigators in their own right, directing themselves towards the most rigorous, most incisive, most personal of literary responses during their examinations.

As AWWL heads into its fourth year of operations, Ken has mentored dozens of tutees, from a wide range of educational backgrounds. Not so long ago, Ken was just a fresh graduate from Hwa Chong Institution. Now, he is a confident undergraduate at National University of Singapore pursuing the arts and social sciences, and a stellar tutor with a broad teaching experience.

Initially a one-man show, Ken has brought on board other with other brilliant undergraduates who are passionate about the humanities. They synthesise their expertise and strengths to offer the AWWL experience to more students and heighten pedagogical success across Lit and GP.

TESTIMONIALS

We do not self-aggrandise.
Hear what our satisfied students and parents have to say!

"AWWL enabled me to better appreciate the subject in my second year, as literature was something I struggled with in my first year of JC. Lessons were tailored to my own specific needs and the feedback offered after each submitted essay was extremely precise and focused. Ken and Isabella were extremely encouraging, which in turn created a safe environment that enabled students to feel comfortable in expressing their thoughts and opinions. In addition to their guidance on the subject, our emotional and mental well-being was also being cared for as Ken would also take the time to show concern to our lives outside of mere academic studies. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my time at AWWL and am immensely grateful for the help I received during my time with AWWL."
